Taking into account that airbus FCOMs don't go too deep into details (I have the feeling they don't want you to know confusing details) what is it exactly that you don' t understand?
"flight position" = "air mode" (shock absorber not compressed or landing gear uplocked)
the safe condition (as in every aircraft) is the "air mode" (flight condition or position or whatever)
"ground condition" = "ground mode"
No "weight on wheels" switches etc but "proximity detectors" here.
"users" = aircraft systems
