Thumbs up

If the "wallopers" are concerned about staying "Fighting Fit" (and watch out, because we're going to hear from the paciifists soon, I dare say), then wouldn't a martial arts school be more appropriate? A fit copper doesn't necessarily translate into a good exponent of physical defence.

Nungry raises an interesting point with his post about a professional pilot's REQUIREMENT to obtain, and maintain, a certain level of (cardiovascular and pulmonary) fitness, and the legitimacy of money being spent for that as a tax write-off.
Actually the ones who SHOULD do the follow-up on that for us, are the gyms.
Naturally there are other ways of getting fit that wouldn't require the outlay that gym membership does - but it's horses for courses.

BTW, I think the word is beat - beet is the sort of stuff that is associated with a type of root - something most Aussies are familiar with!

Suggestions for the bar name - "Flying High"
and for the type of club that could be established for airborne cops who pound the beet - "Flying ?***".
