Spent 15 years outside SA and have two 1st world passports. Admit I did not feel safe for many years after returning to SA but violent crime is now way down and I definitely feel a lot safer than I ever have
So if you're such a patriot and positive about the future, why keep dual (or triple ) citizenship? The people that complain and want to see things change is people like my family who cannot say "Oops, I was wrong" and run to an embassy, second passport in hand.
So I guess now that you feel safer and crime is down (impossible to know as the government don't release crime figures, but they like to create the impression before the Soccer W.C. ) you have removed the electric wires, the double brick 8 foot fence, the burglar bars, the armed response, the laser pick up's, the security door isolating the living area from the sleeping area etc.
