Good that the people got their jobs back and a humble apology from CHC.
Good news indeed!
Iīm not a part of CHC and I donīt know the whole story behind this, but I suspect that CHC management carried out the orders they were given from First Reserve. The CHC management should have known better. It was obvious from the start that this had to backfire.
Thereīs a saying, "Donīt Underestimate the Importance of Local Knowledge". First Reserve clearly didnīt do their homework, barging in the way as they did. If they thought the company union was a bitch, well congrats - youīve now been introduced to the oilworker unions. They can potentially shut down the operation overnight.
