Bomber Command appreciated
A new book, 'Lancaster:The Second World War's Greatest Bomber' by Leo McKinstry, is featured in an article in today's Daily Mail. The last paragraph reads ' The RAF's Lancasters gouged out the industrial heart of Germany. The campaign spelt ruin for the Reich's war economy and military capability. And in the end, despite the civilian death toll, that was the greatest moral triumph of all'.
