The best way to get an answer is to call the HR person. After emailing once quite some time ago and never getting a response, I decided on calling to get answers I required. The woman was helpful and answered everything I needed. She also said she was very "under-resourced" so I suspect she has lots of unread emails in her inbox...
And if you are checking on the recruitment process, please give us all a heads up too!
