To save face, humiliation and a barrage of questions, from the Opposition Party, the Government will not be in a position to close down the Airline. But one must not forget that there is now a new element to be considered. His Excellencey's pet project Mihin Lanka.

Under a new CEO, Mihin Lanka certainly has done well for itself. A viable venture and able to compete with Low Cost Carriers, Mihin Lanka is gaining popularity. The only way for it to show profits now would be to increase frequencies and add more destinations to it's network.

Srilankan Airlines liabilities far exceed the assets it owns. It will be an absolute waste of money for the Government to bail out the Airline, without changing the top management crooks, goats, bull****ters and bum suckers. The existing lot have clearly shown their incapability and unsuitability of running the National Carrier.

If the lessors start re-possessing the aircraft that Srilankan utilise (due to contractual obligations on the Airline's part), then the last nail would have been hammered in to the coffin.

It will not be long before a firm decision will have to be taken! But one thing for sure is that the present CEO, has to go!!!
