Some of the soccer crowd have a well used abbreviation, ABU, ie Anyone But United (Manchester?). Guess from now it will be ABC for us in Cork when it comes to alternates etc from other airports - Anywhere But Cork, even if that means diverting to an airport in a different State?
As usual Cork's rivals will be laughing away mad at us.
Today has been very lively at Cork with a good list of bizjet visitors. Missed all the drama myself as I was doing penance for my sin above as it looks like I got it wrong about the Ethiad coming to Cork.
Guess there is what may be regarded as a long haul flight from Cork tomorrow in the shape of a Jet 2 757 doing a flight to Tel Aviv. Hope the aeroplane assigned for the duty will have those lovely winglets. Just cant beat the 757. How long a flight is Cork - Tel Aviv? Just under 6 hours?
