In recent years while LTN has been packed to the rafters with night stopping aircraft and been unable to take anymore... So the only growth the airport has been able to attract is airlines from other bases.

All this hard work seems to be coming un-stuck so quickly, and was great to see the airport thriving with foreign visitors. Even though the foreign airlines was not a significant number it allowed the airport not to be just reliant upon the likes of easyJet and Ryanair.

Does this just leave Wizzair and El-Al now as the only foreign scheduled carriers to the airport?

Maybe easyJet is right and the fees at LTN are higher than other airports in the London area and hence why Transavia have gone too.

I think we could be looking at passenger numbers of 7.5million next year if no new carriers come to the airport. Just loosing Transavia alone wipes away about 200,000 a year flying from the airport. SkyEurope probably wipes away another 500,000 and easyJet if they go ahead with their cuts is likely to be about 1.5million.

Only thing I am holding out hope for is, while the easyJet timetable has been released for all other airports up until June, LTN is only on sale until March... So this could be possible they are stil in negotiations with the council and airport.
