I suspect the comments in this article are much more to do with Coventry Council saying to Warwick DC that they will not get co-operation with housing targets than it is to do with the Airport.
It does not take a genius to work out that the airport is a difficult financial proposition at the moment but Howard Holdings will need to be very desperate to surrender a lease that they paid an awful lot of money for. Somebody with a plan might just be out there to buy it for at least a part of what they paid. These things take time, especially in the current climate.
