It will be a terrible shame to see it be used for a business / industrial park; but its hardly news that that is the likely use should it now be viable as a commercial airport.
That said, as a WDC council tax payer, I would happily see Coventry City Council create jobs for folk as a result of WDC's destruction of the airport; and do nothing to help WDC meet any of their obligations.
I am ashamed to say that they represent me, for they don't. I have seen the planning department at WDC engage in massively expensive legal battles alledgedly in the public interest. It is about time some comeuppance was served!
