This country and its aviation will be bled white as long as crooks and dishonest people are given the chance to rake in more........there is no honor or shame among thieves as we all know.
As for the post of Chairman as asked by Flyingporak.......in my humble opinion it should be given to an honorable gent or lady with ample flying experience (either in the flight deck or in Aviation administration - experience in both fields would be the best). We are talking here about Civil aviation so Military experience should only be an added qualification and not the sole criteria for this vital post.
Sadly a Sri Lankan aviators dream would never materialize as it's the politician (who knows nothing of this field) who would finally decide...........there rests our fate !
