I don't mean to interfere with your last post but if your answer about the Gabardini is correct (I have no pic of this A/C) then the aircraft in question is a creature of the great engineer Filippo Zappata who worked with Gabardini for only 8 months I believe in 1922.
Forgive my enthusiasm but I'm a distant relative of Filippo Zappata and if you wish I could supply a link (in italian) about this prominent man.
