Survival rule 1
Until you are sure of the skipper don't talk about your extracurricular activites.
Sometimes it's almost like they get their back up because you are actually enjoying life. Or if you show that you can make some money in your spare time e.g the stock market.
And before every skipper gets annoyed I'm referring to some notable individuals not most of them. And to make the skippers happy I'd have to agree that some of the new generation Forget to demonstrate the fact that they are actually professional before they describe their extensive leisure activities.
Staff Travel
1st 6months - you can use it, but only between your port of joining and Hong Kong and only on CX. As a cadet your port of joining is ?????hkg maybe Also you must pay upfront for your tickets for the first 6 months.
