Was the Aer Lingus news regarding removal of one frame not announced some time ago? Thought that the winter schedule was pretty much sorted with LHR taking one aircraft, and Arrecife, Tenerife, Malaga and Munich utilising the other.

What will be more interesting is which if any of these routes will be reinstated for summer 2010. FAO is definitely back, but curious about the rest especially Milan and Rome being the only operator on these routes. Capacity to Barcelona and Paris I'd imagine would be already catered for by EZY, matching supply with demand from BFS. Rome had been operating above expection had it not, remember EI upping the frequency from 3 to 4 per week, citing high demand. Perhaps seasonal demand.

With 2 LS based aircraft, are these frames highly utilised?? With LBA twice daily on the whole and a weekly Saturday Chambery, what other flights will these operate?? Daytime cargo flights, or are the cargo routes served solely in the evenings??

By the sounds of things it looks like it going to be very quiet in BFS this winter ...... Very Quiet
While we've all got accustomed to a huge diversity of routes from BFS and recently 3 based EI aircraft, lets not forget it was only a matter of a few years ago BFS was surviving on a sole AMS international scheduled flight. To have 11 based aircraft and the airport on course to handle 5m+ passengers again this year, I think BFS isn't doing too bad, when you consider increased competition from BHD with FR, and the worse economic climate for decades.
