Gentlemen please! - the reason for today's go arounds was the low cloud; often overcast at 400ft and below.
And as for any operational advantage, the baseline OCA for all a/c categories for a localiser DME, the best available onto 26 at the moment, is 410ft

The fact that the smaller M2s could level off and fly at Minimum descent altitude to MAPt , rather than go around from a CDA at a decision altitude could possibly have tipped the balance.
The added complication was that met visibility was often down as low as 2000making a visual sighting of runway only lighting difficult especially when a decision height was the norm for most.

Oh and jsut to clear up HAC, these are no longer NEW minima but the same old ones back again with the FAF 0.1 mile closer in & the mile advisory heights adjusted accordingly, Cheers Horry
