Just watched a piece on US TV (20/20 ABC), where they played the tapes of the United hijacked aircraft that crashed in western Pa. on 9/11. Scary stuff (they edited to remove the more gruesome events).Yes, it is a very sad time in commercial aviation right now - six aircraft and crew and all passengers lost in the last 70 days (five in US, one in Italy)where the crew was essentially powerless in controlling the events. We all like to think we can control our destiny in the air, but the events of the past two months have cast a shadow on that belief.
