I couldn't resist posting this from another thread, with apologies to the original poster!
IAS Cargo's Britannias in the '70s only had a very smelly Elsan down the back.
One of the local ground staff in Nairobi had the happy task of emptying it and he was telling me one day how amazed he was that us white folk could sh1t so neatly into "those little bags".
They were, of course, used tea bags. Seemed a shame to dissolution him!
