MickJoeBill, I recall the article said that PolAir was close behind the news chopper that spotted him first, but PolAir was carrying the coordinates and Channel X wasn't - they were just in the right place at the right time and happened to see him.
If one of us low-lifes went missing without a PLB, expect an SES group from the local Bright SES of 10 people looking over 2 days then giving us up as lost. If they did happen to find you and you had a broken leg on the side of a cliff you MIGHT get a ride out in PolAir or HEMS if you are lucky.
