anyways..i was curious to know one thing..i am right now pretty close to getting a job in an airline...i wouldnt write which one...but what i was hearihng was that the copanies only send pilots for type rating in groups of even numbers..(eg. 2,4,6,8)so that they can train in groups of 2...is it true???or its just a speculation??
Unless u want to fly SOLO on the Full Motion Simulator..
The airlines send u in pairs.. U ll have an sim partner..
In some companies ur sim partner is going to be another newbie like u..
and in some companies (and in my company) I had a sim partner who was transitioning to this aircraft for his command rating while i got my SIC rating..
so what usually happens is u and ur sim partner are identified by the time ground classes start or during ground classes..
hope it helps..and regarding the airline u re going to join.. it aint going to be a brainer to pin point the one.. i atleast hope its not the big coded airline that u re talking about..
becoz i know they ve taken in a few folks.. who are in the exact position as u mention..
