Professors ASSumptions

Commercial Pilots are highly paid because of responsibiltiy and skillset.
The cost of becoming a commercial pilot is also expensive.Around $A100,000
An ultralight pilot does not have the same skillset as a jumbo pilot therefore he would not be remunerated as a commercial pilot.
A pilot who chooses to accept lower wages is not necessarily a lesser pilot but perhaps a little more desperate to get a gig on a shiny new toy.Or perhaps doesnt have a choice when it is either accept lower wages flying or driving a cab in times of economic downturn when there are fewer jobs to be had.
I hope this is clear enough for you Professor. If not I will attempt to make it a little simpler.
It is of note that you decided not to take exception to the heart surgeon analogy. You are selective regarding the matters you wish to argue
