Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but in simple terms your post indicated an opinion thus:
Poorly paid airline pilots are more prone to accidents than well paid airline pilots.
Therefore, I am drawing the assumption that you believe that high pilot salaries result in high safety standards.
The point I make is this:
Fedex pilots are amongst the highest paid pilots in the world and yet in the past decade have been involved in an unusually high number of accidents. Conversely, carriers such as America West, for example, once branded the “low cost pilot" airline in the US, never lost a pax.
