VB try this with their Darwins only to discover it didn't work? Why would they think a longer sector would suddenly make it viable. Might work if you were able to spend your entire paxing sector occupying crew rest and sleeping without interruption. But then where do the operating crew take their rest?
Looks like they are pulling all stops out to ensure they don't pay much over the base.
