I must confessed to being shocked for 3 reasons:

1. Shocked that I read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it.

2. Shocked that it triggered a few memories of time away from blighty.

3. And completely shocked that a bootneck can actually write!

One of the best books I've read for a long time. It now has pride of place between "Chickenhawk" and "100 Best Walks in the Lake District"
