easyJet at Luton!
While a threat like this should never be taken light heartedly, especially from an airline like easyJet, which is the airports main customer... I don't think easyJet will have much of a leg to stand on!
They are being totally hypocritical, complaining about the fees at LTN, and threatening to move to STN and LGW... When they already have major issues with BAA about the fees they are paying and last year removed aircraqft from their STN base! I would expect LTN's fees are favourable compared to these two airports, and are probably just trying to jump on Ryanair bandwagon, trying to secure the best deals possibly with threats. (I'm reluctant to call them idle threats!)
A few years back LTN was very reliant upon easyJet for their traffic, but in recent years this has diversified some what!
Luton needs to play this game carefully, but doubt they will have much too worry about.
