About your question you cant log both of you as PIC because the Airplane as a single engine I am sure is required only one pilot because if is required tow crew on loging its must P1 and P2 and this I a regulation world wide for that when you fly both one log one leg from T/O to Land and the anther also log one leg do not log both of you same leg only if the aircraft required tow crew and in that case you required a type rating.
