we provide ATC for the Vale of York which is a RAF playground
As do Leeming and Linton. Can't see the RAF needing a third provider for the same airspace. In fact they'd probably welcome DTV closure because it would remove conflicts with Leeming traffic and open up a whole new chunk of airspace.
