TZ licensing

It will take up to 2 months to get through a Tanzanian licence conversion and to get operational. Like most things in Africa this process takes time. It would be far better if you had an operator to go to like Coastal as they can give you some guidance as to what goes on. Doing this all off your own bat is far harder without some guidance and Dar is an expensive place to live without an income in my view.

Kenya seems a far harder place to get a licence. The main hassle being work permits and employment. You can't seem to get one without the other but this is only an observation from spending a little time in Nairobi over the last 2 years.

Kenya is a far nicer place to be in my view but do what you have to in order to get a licence and work somewhere.

Oh, also be nice to the lady at the 'reception' desk at TZ CAA if you go down this route. I assume she has not changed from 12 months ago and she can be very, very sour if she does not like you!
