Dash 8s
Heard a rumour (from a BE pilot) that EI is apparently interested in Dash 8s; anyone heard more?
Although they certainly need a smaller type, the Dash 8s would be a surprising option - not least because RE has ATR72s (and one would expect that dealing more closely with them would be cheaper than buying a new type), but also the overhead lockers on Dash 8s have trouble in accommodating current "regulation size" hand baggage. Something along the lines of the Embraer 170-190 series would seem to be a better choice.
Anyone heard more?
(There is, incidentally, a currently unidentified order for five Dash 8-Q400s ...)
