Looks like the normally very-successful LAN is having it's share of financial troubles too-- at least they remain "in the black"
LAN, Chile’s flag carrier, has announced that its profits during the three months April-June fell 93 per cent to $4.2 million, compared to the $60.5 million profit recorded during the same period last year.
A major factor in the airline’s result was a €52.6 million fuel hedging loss.
Revenue was down nearly 22 per cent however, the airline managed to cut its expenses by 18.2 per cent.
