It WAS a good book. Its now a bit outdated to be honest. In its time it was an outstanding guide to the test written by someone with expert insight.
Its still worth buying but others rival it.
Wannabes cannot be allowed to deteriorate into a Sales and Wanted exchange. Hence we stamp on these kinds of threads. Its not out of malice, merely keeping the front page thread topics at an interesting level.
People offering good kit free to a good home for example have traditionally been allowed to 'advertise' here alongside people offering swaps.

ps I started it all off a couple of years ago swapping some PPSC notes with someone else who had some ATA notes so a phrase incorporating Kettle, Black and Pot springs to mind
