BHD, just saying from my experience re rents, I think it wise for any new arrivals to have a local colleague assist in the rent process to ensure they do not get taken for a ride. You are completely right in that Muscat is the jewel of the crown and living costs, aside from rent, are indeed super cheap. You are blessed with a beautiful country
