Why bother apart from self interest?
Once you do an aircraft endorsement that utilizes the PT6 it will cover everything you need to know.
A handy little tit bit is
ST.R.I.F.E (Starter, RPM, Ignition, Fuel Flow, EGT) if you can commit that to memory it will come in handy when doing your Aircraft endorsement.
As mentioned by starting out ATPL systems will give you what you require in regards to a BGT understanding.
IMO you're better off learning about the Garrett, much more of a Pilots engine
