A bit late with this reply but from earlier in the thread ( 6th May ) ...
How do you get your chosen font (Times New Roman 14pt) to "stick".
Start Word, Click Open / Templates / Normal - this is the document template that opens every time you start a new file.
Make changes to the template - Font / Font Size / Line Spacing etc etc and when you're happy click "Save".
Every new document will open with these settings.
