Look at the flybe Blackpool charade - start up in competition to Manx 2, I suspect this put Manx 2 under severe financial pressure, and then pull out.
Manx2 made no change to their fares at all. Many of their passengers came from commuters who need the morning and evening schedules. Their planes also stayed quite full compared to pre-FlyBe. Now they have launched an extra six times weekly service showing that, actually, there are airlines that can fight against FlyBE (be it Loganair or mainline) and win!
