The Dornier Do 214 project
Thats the one - or at least thats what my 1947 source publication thought it was and web souces have the same 3 view . Construction abandoned in 1942.
With proposed 40 passengers + 12 crew and 16 engines ( 8 Daimler benz twin coupled to a single prop) that made around 3 engines per person .
