I would love to believe that, but I think that doesn"t square up with how things are in Romania.
Generally, those working in professional positions are paid pre-revolution salaries but alas (at least in Bucarest) EEC prices prevail (certainly for accomodation ) . I would be delighted (as the other half is Romanian . . . . but she assures me Bucarest is even more of a sh1thole than in 89
