No you are right the NT news couldn't report accurately on a crocodile lose in Mitchel street, but possibly they could chase it through CASA and get a reasonbale quote.
Suggest wicking should be the reporter, maybe not accurate but definitely funny.
In any case bring it to the publics attention that all is not rosy.
