Well done Noyade, it is indeed the Lear 40 Liner...not to be confused in anyway with todays Learjet 40. This was an attempt by Gates to get into the big exec jet market (ie going head to head with Grumman's Gulfstream 2) and the commuter market, and was to be powered by RR Spey engines (again just like the G2). According to some sources the prototype was part built before the project was cancelled.
