The airline based in Estonia, Estonian Air’s passenger numbers has dropped off in the first five months of 2009 due to the constant difficult economic situation. Moreover, comparing to 2008 during the same period, Estonian Air’s passenger capacity has been reduced by 27.4% in 2009 i.e. Estonian Air carried 219 889 passengers during the first five months of 2009. However, from January to May 2009, the market share of Estonian Air on the
flights at the airport in Tallinn was 43.4% that is 0.6 percentage points less than in 2008 over the same period.
