I have not really looked into it that much but perhaps, to explain the high rejection rate people talk about here...
So far no aeroplane but a few to come. Not hundreds to begin with, meaning that if a dozen pilots is required, with the hundreds or thousands applying, chances to get rejected are probably around 99.9%.
When/if the expansion takes place, more people will get called and those initially not considered for whatever reason (their train set with its priorities), might get a call in the end. I wouldn't take it too personally and if this place is really where you want to work, chances are that one day you will. By then you will think it was worth the wait.
Of course I realise many are looking for jobs and places are not that many but because of the market state, I reckon it should be easier to accept. Sadly.
