Is it possible to make an announcement in a specific cabin as there was definitely an emergency evacuation called in the rear most cabin?
As someone else mentioned, it could be that due to the electrical system problem,
a part of the PA system could have been inoperative. That would account for some passengers hearing announcements and others not.
