hold pool
ok so whether or not the JOC is valid or not has been discussed thoroughly....the point is once you are in the hold pool even if it is 2 years wait will you eventually get hired out of that pool if you are ATP??
I don't mind waiting 2 years if i definitely get a job at the end of it....I can instruct until that day arrives and be a better pilot for it. However i'm more concerned about whether or not a job will materialise after 2 years or is this just a way for ctc to keep their mcc(+joc) course making a profit??
Once the job market picks up, the obstacle to ATP guys getting a job is whether or not there are too many cadets graduating each month to prevent any ATP guys getting selected. Maybe in a year or so the number of cadets graduating will have dropped off so much (due to the credit crunch ...people not having the money for training etc) that the ATP guys in the pool WILL get selected?? Just a theory...thoughts anyone?
