Some more from my album of aircraft photographed at Biggin Hill c. 1954 - 1955. Some from the ROC Recognition Day and BOB display 1954.
Vampire Take-off
Vulcan VX770
VX770 was the first prototype. It was later used by Rolls-Royce as a Conway test bed until its loss at an air display at RAF Syerston in 1958.
Shackleton MR2
Shackleton MR2, serial number WL743, of 42 Sqn, St. Eval. It was lost the following year after a mid-air collision.
RAF Sabre?
The original print is not quite clear enough to make out whether the roundel belongs to an RAF aircraft of perhaps Canadian with a Maple Leaf.
Canberra B Mk2
