The westward extension to 'Moffat's Motorway' is now in use - (taxiway Alpha now extended towards 08 threshold).
The rock armour on the promentary looks more than half done with foreign boulders. Why couldn't they have used locally made 'Stabits'
as per the Douglas breakwater which was finished in 1983 ??.
A displaced threshold is about to come into use on runway 26 to allow for work on the extension to proceed.
The A.D. is asking for more dosh from the Govt to get the taxiways upgraded too.
Note to A.D., while we're on a roll, can we have the lights upgraded and transmissiometers installed to have a Cat 2 runway next.
