It's certainly about halving costs, for sure.
It's also about helping people who still have to pay to fly keep their costs down as they build up to being a Pro.
It's also about encouraging people to keep flying who would otherwise give up due to high costs and lack of confidence.

Weather forecast: I learnt with a living legend nearly 20 years ago and one of his MANY sayings I still remember was
"Only get a weather forecast if you don't want to go."
Not always true, I concede, and only pertinent to rotary transport, of course.
