Just A small point,...
The co-ordination and control of the whole incident was the responsibility of MRCC Aberdeen. The operation was delt with by H.M. Coastguard operators.
The duties of "Air Co-ordinator Onscene" were delegated to Rescue 51 by the coastguard for the time that they were onscene. Before they asked to go home for tea and biscuits!!
