I was there last Sunday and whilst the water level has dropped it is still certainly spectacular. My advice would be not to miss the Warburton River north of the lake and the Gouyder Lagoon near Clifton Hills. The contrast between desert and floodplain is stunning. It is here that the birds are more prevalent as well.
