EMPATHY........such a word!It change my course of life
I never thought about it before even if once I red it in a DYLAN DOG.
I had to go and look at the dictionary because I didn't know exactly what it means:
being able to put yourself in someonelse feeling and thought!
I consider myself as sensitive,not selfish and caring about the other.
First of all I want to clear that it really hurts to end my LHI recruiting at the final interview
after having passed DLR1,the SIM,the day before the DTC and the passenger scenario.
I always give priorities in my life problem and in what once was my job
so I did it in here:
SAFETY FIRST fly the ariplane first in the MIC,so not many green button pushed
and it wasn't a mistake because I passed(marginally),
I lost few time the speed in the sim,but I passed
REGULARITY when you have a slot and 300 pax
waiting and a pax complaining,after a while you have to take a decision,
so I did even being polite and with understanding,but we had to choose something
SAFETY FIRST with a flt attendent scared of a sick or dead or bleeding pax even before a flt
at the briefing room,so after asking that she could ask for help at the purser
that she should put herself in the position of the sick passenger and her feeling,
that she wouldn't be happy about that,after that we had take a decision,
but I had to do it with more of "this"empathy......
The marginality of the Multitask(MIC,spd lost in the sim ecc) by itself wouldn't put me off,
but adedd with this weakness in empathy was too much for them.
VERY DIFFICULT FOR A SELF EVALUATION!
If I would have known before,I'm sure I could have handled it,
BUT YOU KNOW THAT BEING THE FIRST TO OPEN A DOOR IS MORE DIFFICULT THAN TO JUST PASS TROUGH AN
ONE ALREADY OPENED.
I hope this will help someone for the future recruting....surely helped me to think about
that.
If LHI is searching not only for very good pilot,but even to sensitive people
put them in the Heaven of the airline std....I wish I knew it before.
At least I had a chance to know,meet and to associate with amazingly skilled pilot
(grazie NINO;ALE,MAX,ROBI,FERDINANDO,FEDERICO,ANDREA,ecc)
This is dedicated to them and to the people that belived in me......
one day we will meet again up in the sky....in a way or in another.
