Oooh, there's obviously a bit of history between some members on this site. All mud slinging aside, yes BHD is there to offer choice for certain markets and BFS is definately not the Mutt's Nuts. But if things go the way they seem to be going you're going to have 02 airports with almost the same routes to offer with carriers operating on very thin margins of profit. You will end up with more of this nonsense of bad times for certain routes spread between the 02 airports and routes being pulled because neither carrier can make money on them. Great benefits for the customer not!
As BFS101 has said let BHD stick to what they are good at, being a regional airport for the business and leisure traveller who wants to get in and out of the city fast with no nonsense. BFS can't offer that, so the 02 airports can exist and both do what they do best without undermining each other too much.
That's not 'pro' anything, just common sense.
